Serve the plain swordfish pieces and halved cherry tomatoes on a plate with a smile — let your toddler dip them in ketchup if they like.

Recipe

1

Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for 3 minutes.

2

Cut the swordfish steak into 2 equal portions. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture all over the swordfish.

child_care Before adding spices, set aside one plain swordfish portion for your toddler.
3

In another bowl, toss the cherry tomatoes with remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and a pinch of salt. Place the swordfish and tomatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

child_care Leave the tomatoes whole for the toddler; they can be halved after cooking.
4

Air fry at 200°C for 8–10 minutes, flipping the swordfish halfway through, until the swordfish is opaque and flakes easily (internal temperature 63°C) and the tomatoes are blistered.

child_care For the toddler portion, cut the swordfish into small bite-sized pieces after cooking.
5

Squeeze the lemon half over the swordfish and tomatoes. Serve immediately.

child_care Skip the lemon for the toddler's plate.
