Set aside a few plain potato wedges and a small piece of plain octopus for the toddler, cutting into bite-sized pieces.

Recipe

1

Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for 3 minutes.

2

Cut baby potatoes in half. Toss with 1 tbsp olive oil, juice of half lemon, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Place in air fryer basket and cook at 200°C for 15 minutes, shaking halfway.

child_care Before seasoning, set aside a few potato halves for the toddler; toss those with just a little oil and no lemon or garlic.
3

While potatoes cook, pat octopus tentacles dry. Toss with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, juice of remaining lemon half, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Add to the basket after potatoes have cooked 10 minutes, pushing potatoes aside. Cook 8 minutes more, until octopus is tender and internal temperature reaches 63°C.

child_care Set aside a small unseasoned octopus piece before adding lemon; cook it separately for the toddler if needed.
4

Remove basket. Let rest 2 minutes. Serve potatoes and octopus together, garnished with extra lemon wedges if desired.

child_care For the toddler, cut the octopus into small pieces and serve alongside the reserved plain potatoes.
