For your toddler, serve plain tofu cubes, a small pile of onion salad (rinsed if too sharp), and a spoonful of yogurt on the side.

Recipe

1

Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for 3 minutes.

2

Press and cube the tofu into 2 cm pieces. Toss with 1 tsp oil, turmeric, and a pinch of salt. Transfer to the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C for 10 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and firm.

child_care Set aside a few plain tofu cubes before adding spices for your toddler.
3

While tofu cooks, dice onion, bell pepper, and tomato. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the remaining 1 tsp oil and kadai masala for 20 seconds. Stir in the diced vegetables and a pinch of salt.

child_care Reserve a small bowl of plain diced veggies for your toddler.
4

Add the cooked tofu to the bowl with the spiced vegetables. Toss to coat. Return the mixture to the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C for 5 minutes, until vegetables are tender and tofu is coated.

child_care Scoop out a portion of the mixture for your toddler before adding extra spices if desired.
5

In a small bowl, combine the remaining diced onion (reserved from step 3) with lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Serve the tofu kadai topped with yogurt, cilantro, and the onion salad on the side.

child_care For your toddler, serve the reserved plain tofu, plain veggies, and a dollop of yogurt. Skip the onion salad and cilantro.
