For your toddler, serve plain air-fried okra pieces and a quarter of a hard-boiled egg with a spoonful of plain yogurt on the side.

Recipe

1

Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for 3 minutes.

2

In a bowl, toss okra with 1 tbsp olive oil and a pinch of salt. Place in the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C for 8 minutes, shaking halfway, until tender and lightly charred. Transfer to a plate.

child_care Before adding spices, set aside a few plain okra pieces for the toddler; cook them separately if needed.
3

Place eggs in the air fryer basket and cook at 170°C for 12 minutes. Transfer to a bowl of cold water to cool, then peel and halve.

child_care For the toddler, cut one egg into small pieces after peeling.
4

Microwave onion, tomato, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl for 2 minutes until soft. Transfer to the air fryer basket with curry powder, turmeric, cumin seeds, coconut milk, 1 tbsp olive oil, and salt. Stir to combine. Cook at 180°C for 10 minutes, stirring once, until thickened.

child_care Before adding spices, scoop out a small portion of the onion-tomato mix for the toddler; skip the curry powder.
5

Add halved eggs to the curry sauce in the air fryer basket, gently stir, and cook at 180°C for 2 minutes to warm through. Serve with okra and a dollop of yogurt.

child_care For the toddler, serve the plain okra, egg pieces, and a spoonful of yogurt separately; do not mix with curry.
